UK National Committee for Future Earth
The UK's national academies – the British Academy, the Royal Society, the Academy of Medical Sciences and the Royal Academy of Engineering – have collaborated to convene the UK national committee for Future Earth. UK Future Earth brings together representatives from academia, government, research councils, business and societal partners to provide a UK platform for engaging with Future Earth's global environmental change agenda. The committee is chaired by Frans Berkhout.

Royal Society Global Environmental Research Committee
The Royal Society Global Environmental Research Committee (GERC) promotes and coordinates UK participation in the activities of the global environmental research programmes and committees organised by the International Council for Science (ICSU) and its component bodies.
Dr Kerry Dinsmore
UK Biodiversity Science Committee
The UK Biodiversity Science Committee (UK BSC) was established in summer 2012 to represent the UK biodiversity science community and to serve as a constituted advisory committee for The Royal Society Global Environmental Research Committee (GERC). The two previous DIVERSITAS representatives on GERC will be substituted by a representative of UK BSC (normally the Chairperson).
The UK BSC will engage with the UK science community to advance the promotion of biodiversity science as a contribution to both national and international science programmes. The UK BSC will scrutinise the biodiversity science content of the Draft Research Framework “Future Earth – Research for Global Sustainability”, as individual Global Environmental Change (GEC) Programmes such as DIVERSITAS and the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP) are amalgamated into Future Earth (2012-14).
