Giant wooden buildings clung to the hillside with machines that crushed ore in search of rare metals. The mine closed in 1912, but not before producing over 10,000 ounces of gold, 12,000 ounces of silver, 4,000 ounces of copper, 1,000 ounces of lead, and putting the town of Blue River, Oregon, on the map.
